High Score - “Better Luck Next Time” Ft. Chaney Elaine (Featured Song)

High Score released their new song, “Better Luck Next Time” featuring Chaney Elaine (House Parties). The band told us more about the song’s meaning. Check it out below and read our review here.

Meaning:

Better Luck Next Time is a song that means a lot to me. It’s a product of a very toxic relationship. After it ended, I spent a while only thinking about the good times we had and completely ignoring the bad. It wasn’t until this last year or so that I started to realize the emotional and mental gauntlet I went through. One of the verses is “Were you in love, or were you just pretending to care about the plans we made for our lives”. This is one of my favorite parts in the song, because it shows that critical shift in thinking. A lot had to happen for me to be able to write this song, but in the end, pain facilitates growth and that’s all we can ask for.

We would like to give a huge thank you to Chaney from House Parties for joining in on the song, and to Chris from Under Currents for helping with the mastering! If you haven’t already please go check these two bands out!
