Netflix Talks "Marvel's The Punisher"

News dropped yesterday about Netflix ordering a full season of "Marvel's The Punisher" and it was widely expected and accepted that Jon Bernthal will reprise the role as Frank Castle/The Punisher whom he portrayed in "Marvel's Daredevil" earlier this year.

“Jon hooked our global audience with his performance as Frank Castle from the moment he stepped on screen in Marvel’s Daredevil," said Cindy Holland, Netflix Vice President of Original Content.

Netflix later went into more detail about what to expect. Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) is going to be the Executive Producer and Showrunner. He will also write the first two episodes. He said this about working on the show:

“For me, the complexity and unpredictability of Frank Castle make him an incredibly compelling character and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into his world.”

Netflix and Marvel Television are enjoying a great collaboration as they work together to bring their sixth original series to the masses. There's no news on when to expect it to debut, but I'm sure we'll start hearing more information soon.
