Hollywood Holt - The Show (SONG REVIEW)

I checked my e-mail the other day and I was a little surprised to find “The Show” which is the latest song from Chicago hip-hopper Hollywood Holt. I think this is the first official song he has released since his mixtape last year. I also think it may be one of the strongest tracks he has ever released.

Million $ Mano provides the beat as he does with many Hollywood Holt tracks and the combination is as good as ever. Mano’s beat gives the track a really nice backbone and is one of the better beats I’ve heard in a while. Holt’s lyrics are on point and his delivery is something most MCs wish they could have. The track has an energy to it that I really enjoy and when it’s all said and done it does what I think it’s main job is which is to make you anticipate the long-awaited Hollywood Holt album a little more.

Holt’s debut album is due out sometime soon. If this is any indication of what he has in store, it’s going to be a big album. This is hip-hop done well and it would be hard not to count this as one of the better hip-hop tracks released this year.
