Alexander Spit - Until Next Summer (ALBUM REVIEW)

Click READ MORE to check out my review of the new Alexander Spit album!

Alexander Spit’s new album is just about the best way to end the summer that I can think of. The beat choices on the album and the rhyming are about as good as it gets.

I’ve heard releases where the beat choices are weak and the lyrics and rhyming are strong and I’ve heard vice versa. It’s nice when an artist can find both. The album has that new California feel and in some ways reminds me of the feel of U-N-I’s A Love Supreme. Spit is his own artist but it definitely has the California vibe and feel. You can hear the sunshine and the grit.

The standout track in my opinion is “Our Time” which has an anthem feel to it. The hook is nice and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a video for this track in the near future. The guests on the album are nice additions. Casey Veggies shows up on “Shades On” and once again proves why his buzz has been growing. The guests do not own the album which is true on some hip hop releases. This is Alexander Spit’s album and his flow and lyricism are the backbone of the tracks found on the new album.

The album doesn’t have too many flaws either. There are different vibes on the album and I think there is something for most hip hop fans on there. It’s always good when an artist can progress and make every album better. I think this album is better than the last, which speaks highly of the material because Spit’s last album was a really good album.
