Albert Haynesworth finally passed Mike Shanahan's conditioning test. He arrived at the field early Saturday morning and completed run one in 66 seconds and run two in 70 seconds. This story rather irks me. He should run the scheme the team wants him to run and he should be there during off-season. Sometimes coaches have to push players to get the best results. However, I look forward to hearing more about Donovan McNabb now that Haynesworth is not the main focus. I hope that talk will not turn to McNabb being too old, not having enough left in the tank, or any more dramatics.

In other news, Jockey might want to check in with Tim Tebow. His Broncos teammates cut his hair, well rather buzzed it at training camp. Not all of it, just the center. Imagine a pointy brown wreath of hair around his surprisingly round head or check the picture out at http://twitpic.com/2ckyyv

Side note- news from the St. Louis Rams is that Sam Bradford made a great first impression in a scrimmage. While Tebow was being sheared and continuing crazed media-attention actions, Bradford went 7-for-9 for 94 yards with a touchdown. Yeah, sometimes players get attention for playing and sometimes it is for crazy haircuts or wearing wedding dresses in public.

The other big news for football over the weekend was the induction of players into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. New members include Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Dick LeBeau, Russ Grimm, John Randle, Rickey Jackson, and Floyd Little. Rice said that at 47 he still feels like he could play, perhaps Brett Favre could think about this. Rice said this is the greatest team he ever joined.

Speaking of inductions, the only thing sports analysts have been talking about since Alex Rodriguez finally hit #600 is whether he deserves to be recognized. Woody Paige provided many comical comments on the issue on Around the Horn last week. I agree this must be a great time for Rodriguez, but it is a little salty. Look at the records of the illustrious (well somewhat illustrious) 600 club. There were 30-year expanses between some of the members joining, but more recently, those who have used enhancements have joined the club in record time. Some will never recognize him or Barry Bonds for that matter, but maybe if Rodriguez plays clean from now on people could start counting again.

Let me know what you think. Should coaches push their players, who will get more playing time this season-Tebow or Bradford, and do you recognize Rodriguez's hits? Also, what is your interpretation of Inception? Although not sports related, Leo is always courtside at the basketball games with his newest model girlfriend and I just genuinely cannot stop analyzing this movie. Comment below!
