Say It Anyway - New Song “Freakin' Lovesick”

Say It Anyway released new song “Freakin' Lovesick”. Guitarist Laurence Nelson tells us “in terms of the writing & recording, we went away on a writing retreat and worked on a couple of songs, this being one of them. Meg came in with an idea, I say idea, it was pretty much a fully fledged song, and the rest of us added our own individual elements to it. After that we recorded it all live in a room together ourselves, running the track a couple of times, with the vocals being done in a little booth overseeing the tracking. We did this until it sounded GREAT, then did some overdubs to make sure it was tight and as good as it could be. I think we spent a whole day doing backing vocals too, I think there was probably about 70-80 tracks of backing vocals (keep your eyes peeled on our socials for a look at these 👀) and then another half day finessing everything, adding some ear candy and some sparkle to the track. After this, it was sent to George, who mixes our stuff, and he took it to a whole other level with his mix & extra production ideas. And that’s how you make a SAY IT ANYWAY SONG”. 

Lead singer, Meg Borges, adds, “we wanted to write a song that feels like that first spark of falling in love - a little uncertain, a little unknown but so worth the risk. It’s honest, over-the-top, and we had the most fun creating it for you!’’. Stream the song: HERE.
