Eat Your Heart Out - Sound In The Signals Interview

I recently had the opportunity to interview Caitlin of Eat Your Heart Out ahead of the release of their new song, “Down” which is out Friday, June 17th. We discussed her thoughts on their 2019 album, ‘Florescence’, their recent tour dates with Tiny Moving Parts, when to expect more news about their upcoming album, and more. Check it out below.

First, thanks for the interview.

No worries, thank you for chatting to us!

You released your debut album, ‘Florescence’ in 2019. What are your thoughts looking back at it now?

We are proud of Florescence but the process of creating that album wasn’t easy and it was definitely a massive opportunity for us to learn and grow! It really helped us with preparing to go into the creation of our new record. We wish we got to play live more following the release of Florescence (thanks covid!) but we are ready now to get back on stage with new songs and songs from Florescence!

You performed at some UK and European tour dates with Tiny Moving Parts. How did that go?

We had such a good time playing Europe and the UK for the first time and we were really looking forward to seeing new cities and meeting new people - both of which didn’t disappoint! It was amazing to see people from halfway across the world singing and dancing to our songs.

You announced you finished recording lp2 last December. What can you tell us about the album so far?

We’ve got a new song coming out on June 17th called Down which we are incredibly excited about - news about the album will be following soon!

Are there any themes or concepts that you explored on the album? Can you tell us more about them?

We can’t give away too much about the album yet, but it’s always personal and basically an exploration of the inside of my head over the past 3 years.

Do you know when fans might hear some new songs? Have you chosen a first single yet? If so, can you tell us a bit about it?

The first single Down is coming out very soon! June 17th worldwide.

What else is coming up for the band in 2022?

New music and hopefully getting to visit and revisit plenty of cities around the world!

Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions. Is there anything else that you’d like to add?

Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us, and make sure to pre-save Down ahead of its release on June 17th!
